Are you our new GAME ART GENERALIST?

We are looking for a versatile and skilled game art generalist to join one of our amazing teams - working on a globally recognized IP!
If you are an experienced game art generalist with a passion for immersive experiences and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.

  • You’ll be a key part of our dedicated team, creating high-quality UI assets and props for a world-renowned IP alongside an amazing partner. As a start, you will be the only artist on the team - thus working as the lead artist with the responsibility for setting the art direction and aligning with the Game Director, external stakeholder and our internal Art Director.

    • Experienced game art generalist with at least 2+ years in the industry

    • Strong artistic vision and a keen eye for graphic design and art direction

    • Expertise in Blender with strong props/environment 3D modeling skills

    • Proficiency in texturing using the Substance suite of applications

    • Solid experience with UI, including asset creation and setup

    • Unity engine expertise (specifically URP), particularly for PC and consoles

    • Experience working in cross-disciplinary teams and alongside other artists

    • One who is adaptable to new tools and software

  • A team player who believes that collaboration breeds excellence

    • Passionate about game development and crafting engaging visual experiences

    • An effective communicator who can work seamlessly with various disciplines

    • Striving for excellence in all aspects of your work

    • Adaptable and flexible, thriving in a fast-paced creative environment

    • Structured and systematic, while maintaining an agile workflow

    • Comfortable working in an agile development environment

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! Send us your application, portfolio and CV – we can’t wait to meet our next creative powerhouse over coffee (or tea – we’re flexible like that).

  • We offer a full time position with 37 hours per week.
Hybrid international working environment with flexible hours and “remote” being a possibility.
    6 weeks paid annual holiday.
Social activities, like board game club, Friday bars and great colleagues.
Exciting partnership project on world-renowned IP.

Who works at FUNDAY?

We’re currently ~50 people having fun at our office in Aarhus, Denmark.
You can read more about the different roles at Funday here below…

  • Funday artists work on a game from initial idea to final product and beyond launch. We mainly work in 3d (our chosen weapon is Blender), but are proficient in the entire pipeline from conceptualisation to implementation of graphics. We are jacks of all trades but each of us have a deeper specialisation, for example Art Direction, UI or Technical Art.

  • At Funday Games, our Game Designers - and Game Directors - are responsible for the creative vision of our games and bring innovative ideas to life, ensuring each game is both fun and challenging. They turn game briefs into captivating game concepts, design engaging game mechanics, create engaging levels and make sure our players are in the driver's seat along the way. Collaboration with artists, programmers, and other team members is key, as they refine concepts and transform ideas into polished, playable adventures.

  • Funday game developers work with developing systems for our games. Everything from making a character move to elaborate data structures of stats and equipment. We are working in smaller teams, so we also work with UI, Game Design and collaborate with artists for visual systems. We work within Unity, C#, multiplayer logic, pipeline and platform integration.

  • In management, we’re in charge of setting direction and making the trains run on time. We bring together the creative, commercial, operational, financial, and human dimensions of the organization to ensure a sharp and nuanced strategic focus. To us it's all about supporting our teams as they work together to develop amazing games with shared goals and effective tools.

  • Marketing is in charge of everything from game discoverability and marketing strategy to community management and content creation. We support every Funday game all the way from the early days of concepting to post-release live-ops. It’s our job to make sure that our products get discovered and played by gamers across the world.

  • In People & Culture our main focus is to keep, nurture and help grow the fun, honest and unique culture that makes Funday Games an awesome place to be. This means that our main tasks are to be found in recruitment, onboarding, talent development, employer branding, well-being, event planning, internal communication and much more!

  • Within Player Insights, we work with providing insights from the perspective of the players who play our games. We look at data on how players interact with our games, observe them play in our live playtests, and gather feedback from our communities on Discord. We listen to our players, because we believe this is the best way to make great games.

  • As Producers we're the day to day managers of the teams and productions, in charge of high level roadmap planning as well as day to day sprint planning. We keep a close eye on timelines, allocation and budget while facilitating dialogue between stakeholders - both internal and external - and the team.

“Everybody is an integral part of the company - Funday is genuinely shaped by its people.”
